BACTERIA IN THE DIGESTIVE TRACT



Our body is the storehouse of all kinds of bacteria it may be good or bad, helpful or destructive. Bacteria largely concentrated in the area of digestive system because of the food we eat. Other places where the germs flourish are on the mouth and lungs.

Echerichia coli cause food-borne illness those that has relation to the food we eat.   Many have died due to kidney failure and bloody diarrhea. The intestine is the center of the infection.

This bacteria commonly found in undercooked, contaminated meats we eat. Other sources of the infection are from raw milk (not pasteurized) and drinking contaminated water from sewage facilities or septic tanks as the repository of all kinds of bacteria.

The germs are found in animal meats especially ground beef. It can be transmitted easily especially if the food is not thoroughly cook or raw meat. The germs lived in the intestines of healthy cattle.

The germs were harmful because it manufactured deadly toxins. Bacterial infection will cause other health conditions to appear if not treated immediately. There will be blood pressure, seizures, paralysis and blindness.

There are many points we can prevent the transmission of the germs into our body by doing the following:

 -Ground beef should be cook thoroughly.

-Don’t eat slightly cooked raw meat, the favorite menu to some people.

-The meat has bacteria. It should not contaminate the kitchen before the preparation of daily meals.
-Ready-to-eat foods should not be mix with raw meat.

- Hot soapy water may help to kill germs in the counter and kitchen utensils.

-Wash the plate thoroughly before placing cooked menu.

-Before the preparation of a menu, wash the meat properly to reduce bacteria concentration.

-Don’t drink raw milk of any kind. It’s better to drink pasteurized milk and juices.
-To kill the pathogens in the juice concentrate, it is recommended to heat it first before you consume.

-Contaminated fruits and vegetables as possible carrier of bacteria. To remove dirt and other contaminants, wash it in the flowing water before cooking or eating some of raw vegetables as salads, etc.

-In the absence of spring water, drink water disinfected with chlorine, the safest. Mineral water will do and the best.

-Take a bath in clean river. Avoid swimming in dirty pool.

Be healthy conscious. Protect your body with better personal hygiene for germ prevention. Be cautious in eating foods with ground beef especially burgers, E. coli can be prevented. Treatment of E. coli infection with effective antibiotic is the only preventable solution to get rid with the infection but with the supervision of medical professionals.

THE MANY CAUSES OF DIGESTIVE STRESS



Our digestive system is the caretaker of the food we eat. Every time we eat, the intestines will take the rest. But once the intestines is damage it send distressing signal that something wrong inside the stomach that should be look into deeply to determine the possible cause.

  How the food we eat is handled. The food from our mouth goes down to the esophagus. The food will directly move to the stomach. The normal digestion happened when body’s hydrochloric acid and pepsin (enzyme) started digesting the food slowly.

 The food that stayed in the stomach is now moving to the upper part of the small intestine, the duodenum to continue the digestion and absorbed the nutrients from digested food. The normal process of digestion will be repeated again and again until the human waste (first process) of digestion is completed and evacuated from the system out of the body.  

Our negligence in protecting the digestive system from the many factors that is dangerous to healthy cells was the reason to have an ulcer. The most affected section of the intestines is the mucous lining, the sensitive and delicate portion of the intestines we should protect. 

We are responsible if the lining of the stomach is damage due to our carelessness in following the modern lifestyle putting everything harmful to the stomach. We eat or drink all kinds of irritants worsening the condition of the digestive tract.

Ulcer is a sore or kind of lesion formed in the delicate lining of the stomach (duodenum). The acid and pepsin are concentrated to the area because of digestion.

There are many kinds of ulcers. There are gastric (stomach) and duodenum (duodenal ulcer). Any of these is called peptic ulcer. Ulcer worsens at the age of 30 to 50. Duodenal ulcer was common to men over 60. Stomach ulcer was common to women of the same age. 

Stress and diet makes the stomach to form ulcer. Another reason is the imbalance between digestive fluids (hydrochloric acid) and enzyme (pepsin). The failure of the stomach to defend against powerful irritants or other substances fed inside the stomach will result to the formation of ulcer. The infection of the stomach with Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is another cause of ulcer.

Most of the irritants that induces formation of ulcers are:

-Smoking habit. It slows down the healing of irritated lining and induce more recurrences of painful ulcer.

-Unrestricted use of caffeine (tea, coffee, colas) stimulates acid secretion aggravating the pain.

-Over-consumption of alcohol beverages (liquor) that will cause cirrhosis of the liver by damaging the very important body organs. 

-Daily emotional stress of many kinds. It triggers ulcer pain and increase its frequency. 

Physical stresses may also cause development of ulcers in the stomach.

The symptom of ulcer was burning sensation in the abdomen between the navel and breastbone. The pain mostly felt between meals or early hours in the morning. It only lasted several minutes.

Another symptom was vomiting, nausea and loss of appetite. If ulcer worsened to highest level it will bleed. It can only be detected if the stool has blood.  It was the reason why the stool has black or tarry color.  If the bleeding is heavy, the victim was weak and tired. A heavy bleeding will appear during vomiting.

Application of ulcer medication will stop the ulcer to progress more. It heals the wounds, stop the bleeding and relieve the pain. There were many kinds of medicine in the trade designed for prevention, control and relief of ulcer pain. There were acid control, H2-blocker, acid pump inhibitor and protective medicine for mucous lining.

WAYS OF LOSING WEIGHT

Controlling weight adds benefits to the body. Using proper way of losing weight is effective only if done regularly.

In your schedule trip to the grocery store, include in your list fresh fruits and other healthful foods. Stop buying those sugar-rich food lacking the necessary nutrients. Faster growth and development of the body will depend on the kind of food we eat. It should have all the essential elements that the body required.

Have enough money in your pocket based on your list. Don't bring extra money to avoid temptation in buying the unnecessary items not on your list especially those junk foods in the grocery compartment.

During mealtime, use a habit of measuring the contents of your plate. Too much eating can add weight to your body. Never skip meals. Skipping meals will mean you have to gorge more.

Every spoonful of food taken to the mouth should be done slowly. Put fork down every spoonful. Use chopstick. The slower you eat, the faster you'll feel full. Putting a break between meals is also important. Interrupting with a cup of juice lessens your action of putting successive spoon of food to your mouth. By relaxing will decrease your will to eat more.

Using lemon juice as your drink can help the body loss weight because of Vitamin C.

Stop your desire of eating sugar-laden snacks. Although it boosts energy because of carbohydrates but it also increase your weight.

It is better if you eat a little in between meals so that during the time of your lunch and supper, you only eat enough for the stomach. It is for easy digestion. Dyspepsia is the cause of gulping large amount of food and with a full stomach during your meals.

Grapefruit juice taken one hour before a meal helps the body against increasing weight. In depressing appetite use blended banana with milk one hour before meal.

Having bamboo shots in your menu helps you loss excess weight. It may be eaten raw or boiled. Eat bamboo shots daily in small portion.

Use your effort diligently. Continue your weight loss program. Take it seriously. Without your perseverance, you will never succeed. You are only wasting your time by not doing anything to the program you initiated with the purpose of reducing your weight. Avoid being high risk. Have medical evaluation to determine the degree of that risk. Start slowly and make a steady progress.

This simple steps are very useful to your regular exercise. Keeping religiously keeping thus useful tips doubles the reduction of your weight. Review your performance every week for any changes.

Records your performance. This will be your gauge of determining the result of your effort. Use the best option available to reduce your weight the earliest possible time. The success of your initiated program in losing weight will depend on your effective control. If you fail in losing weight, it takes you longer to see the result and gain more. It is harder to lose weight the next time. At least you know. Protect your health and your body if you care.
